Wait on God

Today was an ordinary day. I woke up, got dressed, ate a little something, then went to work. I felt no great longings or spiritual renewal. I had no great epiphanies or theological awakenings. As a matter a fact – I felt rather spiritually dry all day.

However, it is in these dry times when we don’t feel, hear or see God working in our lives, that He is working in us a far greater and enduring prospect. We are not built upon feelings or what we can prove to be a result of God working or not working; we are built upon the foundation that Christ laid, which is grounded in absolute, unchanging, and unrelenting love for His children.

God is always working! We don’t have to see it in order to be confident children of His. We are in His house, and He may seem to be in another room at the moment, but He is still very much present; like a protective mother who is always watching as she works in the house. Our God is both Father and Mother to us! His love and plans of prosperity never change – its our hearts and minds that change.

Keep praying and obeying what you know is Truth and in due time He will strengthen your hearts and guide by His right hand.

Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord! Psalm 27:14
