Thy Word Image
 Isaiah 55:8-11
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts. “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,

And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

God’s word to us is the foundation where all of our life relationships, experiences, and circumstances join together in unison with who we are inherently as spiritual beings. We are repeatedly tried in the fires of refinement and cooled in the Water of Life until there is nothing left to hold on too except Jesus Christ – and Him Crucified! We are being refined through suffering and enduring failures, doubts, shame, loss, pain, illness, persecution, loneliness, ridicule, rejection, humility – the list goes on and on! We are being restored (purer than when we began our journey) by our Lord’s steadfast love and faithfulness to us, because we trust and return to Him with all of our heart, not just part of it. We have nothing to give God but our trust! As Job says in Job 13:15, Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him. We are not judged by what we’ve done, but by what we do now before His Throne of Grace. Yes, there is judgment! Yes, there is condemnation! Yes, there is a hell! The Bible says that these are to come. But they are coming when God decides that all who have been invited have responded in one way or the other. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). Read God’s word and study it! That you might know what is the will of God and the state of mankind before Him. He is always merciful – so seek Him while He may be found. Start by opening the Bible in the New Testament to the Gospel according to John. Follow the Life of Jesus and pay close attention to His humility.
